Project I

The project entitled,
”Opracowanie technologii wytwarzania innowacyjnych elementów zespolonych typu metal–tworzywo o znacząco ulepszonych parametrach jakościowych i mechanicznych z uwzględnieniem korekcji odchyleń wymiarowych komponentu metalowego” [Development of technology for the production of innovative metal-plastic composite components with significantly improved quality and mechanical parameters, taking into account the correction of dimensional deviations of the metal component]

PROJECT NUMBER:   POIR.01.01.01-00-0614/19

PROJECT VALUE: 4 771 928,44 PLN
CONTRIBUTION OF EUROPEAN FUNDS:       2 015 709,45 PLN

The project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014-2020, Sub-measure 1.1.1 Industrial research and development works conducted by enterprises.

PURPOSE: The aim of the project is to develop comprehensive technical and technological solutions to achieve a product innovation in the form of a wheel bearing cap obtained by injection molding technology.

EFFECTS: Within the framework of the Project, the Applicant will attempt to solve the technological problem of manufacturing a bearing cap as a high-quality composite element. This element is composed of a metal part, also known as an insert, which is responsible for transferring high mechanical loads. The plastic part, the so-called molded piece, contributes to reducing the total weight of such an element and increasing its functionality. The Project aims to address the problem of the insert’s dimensional variability, which currently prevents the production of a product with the desired characteristics. Through planned R&D work, the Applicant aims to not only eliminate the dimensional inaccuracy of the rings but also to achieve significant competitive advantages for the project result. This involves achieving an unprecedented level of tightness and durability of the detail. Implementation of the Project will result in a highly competitive product that is an innovation on a European scale. This is in line with the current trend of using metal-plastic composite components in the automotive industry. The results of the Project will be implemented by incorporating the outcomes of the R&D work into Alpha Technology’s operations. The product created as a result will target not only the domestic market but foreign markets as well. Implementing the results of the Project will significantly contribute to increasing the level of export of Polish products outside Poland.

Project II

The project entitled,
“Zaawansowane elementy konstrukcyjne dla przemysłu motoryzacyjnego wytwarzane z zastosowaniem proekologicznej technologii odlewania wysokociśnieniowego” [Advanced structural elements for the automotive industry manufactured using environmentally friendly, high-pressure casting technology]

PROJECT NUMBER: POIR.01.01.01-00-0948/19

PROJECT VALUE:                                 9 367 893,22 PLN
CONTRIBUTION OF EUROPEAN FUNDS:     4 001 910,10 PLN

The Project is co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund under the Smart Growth Operational Program 2014–2020, Sub-measure 1.1.1Industrial research and development works conducted by enterprises..

PURPOSE: The Project aims to develop comprehensive technical and technological solutions to produce significantly improved, complex structural elements. These elements will be characterized by reduced porosity and enhanced performance features that are crucial for the automotive industry.

EFFECTS: The Applicant will attempt to solve the problem of porosity of manufactured products, which commonly occurs in high-pressure aluminum foundries. This will enable meeting the automotive industry’s needs, which arise mainly from replacing steel components with aluminum ones, with the expectation of continuous improvement in the physical-mechanical and operating properties of the components used.

Implementing the Project will result in a high-quality and competitive product that is an innovation on a European scale (within the scope of National Smart Specialization no. 12). The Project’s innovativeness will be confirmed by achieving a unique level of porosity in casting. This will lead to parameters that are unprecedented in terms of their strength and thermal conductivity under demanding operating conditions. To achieve this goal, the Project involves planned R&D work encompassing personnel and technical resources, as well as the research and production know-how of the Consortium members. Implementing the results will involve incorporating the outcomes of the R&D work into the Company’s operations. The production of innovative aluminum products will start immediately upon completing the Project.
